DO NGAG CHHOYE KHORLING GUMBA
Dho Ngag Chhoye Khorling Monastery is located in Gurung Nagar, Siliguri, West Bengal, India. It lies in the heart of Siliguri city, close to the Mahananda Bridge and occupies an area of 20,160 sq.ft.. Established in 1960 by 17 founding members, it is one of the oldest Monasteries.
The Dho Ngag Chhoye Khorling Monastery ground was consecrated by His Holiness Chatral Rinpoche, Sangye Dorje (Tibetan)(Born on 18th June 1913) a Dzogchen master and a reclusive Yogi known for his great realization and strict discipline. Chatral Rinpoche is one of the primary Lineage holders of the Longchen Nyingthig. Later, he arranged craftsmen from Bhutan to make idols of all the deities, Buddha and Guru Padmasambhava and also consecrated the same when completed.

Dharmakar Buddhist Education Center
The Monastery premises also houses the Dharmakar Buddhist Education Center which has one Senior Teacher (Lopen) and 7 ordained Lamas, with 15 student monks. The Monastery runs a free school with boarding. The Education Center provides five – year courses on Tibetan Buddhist Monastic Training and currently has 15 student monks.
The senior teacher usually is appointed from Namdroling Monastery by Lakuppe, Mysore, Karnataka, South India. The teacher tenure is for two years. All the expenses, food and accommodation are taken care of by the committee of the monastery itself.
Siliguri Buddhist Association
It is a small and financially self-supported monastery, and occasionally gets meager grants from Ministry of Culture, Delhi,(India).The Monastery is run by a committee named as Siliguri Buddhist Association since 1960. At present the committee has 489 members.
At Dho Ngag Chhoye Khorling Monastery, usually gather to host religious prayers and ceremonies on every religious date and events like Chechu Puja (Dashami) in every month, Nyugney, Lhabhabdhuchen, Ghyasi puja. Buddha Purnima is always celebrated with grand and pompous manner, and organizes long procession during the occasion.
